PRIVACY POLICY.
This is the part where most websites pretend they care about your privacy with three thousand words of legalese. I'll be brief and direct instead.
What I collect
When you buy the ebook: Your email address and payment details. Stripe handles the actual payment data — I never see your card number. I only see your name, email, and that the payment succeeded.
When you join an email list: Just your email address, plus a tag noting which list (blog, nutrition, motivation, etc.) you signed up for. That's it.
When you visit the site: Standard web traffic analytics (pages viewed, country, browser, referrer). No personal identification. I use this to understand what content people actually read.
What I do with it
Send you the ebook you bought. Send you emails you opted into. Improve the site based on analytics. That's the whole list.
I do not sell your data. I do not share your email with third parties (other than the infrastructure I need to run the site — Stripe for payments, my email provider for emails, the hosting platform for traffic). I do not run ads to you.
Third parties I use
- Stripe — payments. They have their own privacy policy.
- Vercel — site hosting. Standard analytics.
- Email provider — to send transactional and newsletter emails. TBD which one I land on.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from any email I send with one click. You can ask me to delete your data at any time by emailing charlie@builtbybemis.com. I'll do it within a week. If you bought the ebook, the purchase record stays with Stripe for legal/tax reasons, but I can detach it from my records on request.
Cookies
The site uses standard functional cookies (to remember things like your preferences during a session). No tracking cookies, no third-party ad cookies. No popup asking you to accept cookies because there's nothing intrusive to accept.
Changes to this policy
If I change anything substantive, I'll update this page and note the date at the top. For email subscribers, I'll mention it in a newsletter.
Questions

Note: This is a personal-brand policy written in plain English, not a regulatory document. If you operate in a jurisdiction with specific data protection requirements (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), I'll comply with applicable law — email me if you need formal documentation.
