REFUND POLICY.
Short version: 30-day money-back guarantee. Email me within 30 days of purchase and I'll refund you. You keep the book either way. No questions, no friction, no forms with twelve checkboxes.
How to request a refund
Email charlie@builtbybemis.com from the address you used to purchase. Include your order number if you have it (it's in the Stripe receipt) — but if you don't, that's fine. I'll find your purchase on my end.
I'll process the refund within 24 hours of receiving your email. Stripe takes another 5–10 business days to put the funds back on your card or in your bank account — that part is outside my control.
You keep the book
Once you've downloaded the PDF, it's yours. I don't revoke access on refund. I'd rather you keep it and revisit it later than feel locked out of something you already read. If it wasn't the right fit for you right now, maybe it will be later.
Why I do it this way
Two reasons. First, I'd rather you trust me than the other way around. If I have to police every refund, the relationship starts in the wrong place. Second, the kind of person who games a $9.99 ebook for a free PDF probably wasn't going to be a good long-term customer anyway. The honest people far outnumber the dishonest ones.
Beyond 30 days
After 30 days, refunds are case-by-case at my discretion. Email me anyway if something feels off and we'll figure it out. I'm not trying to be unreasonable about this.
